1215947 2011-07-11 00:19:00 Friend here at the moment with an Apple lap top.

Problem- Receives email and when she tries to forward or reply , a message appears that offers her a $100000000, the only way to send is to remove by highlighting etc.

She uses web mail here, which is causing problem , she say at home using pop mail the problem doesn't arise

If she wants to send it without spam, then she removes by highlighting and deleting.
It appears when forward or reply is used.

She uses yahoo whilst away from Tauranga!

That will indicate the laptop is fine.

The problem would be the web mail is infected at her account in Yahoo , she can look to see if there is a auto reply message / signature within the mail settings and remove it if there is.

There may be no way to fix it, apart from closing the account and opening a new one ----- thats the problems with web based accounts - no one to actually phone and talk to if there is a problem.

Sounds like the Apple is infected. What browser is used for webmail ??
Try webmail on another machine & see what happens.

It could, cough cough, possibly be the webmail host spitting out some bogus pop-ups, unlikely though.
Whos the webmail host ?? if its an ISP then try their helpdesk.
