| 1185221 | 2011-03-11 21:29:00 | The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (en.wikipedia.org) - the first episode was broadcast at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 8 March 1978. Did it air over here? When? What about in the US of A SJ? |

| 1185222 | 2011-03-11 22:13:00 | Never seen the original TV series? Bummer. I've seen it a few times, last time was when one of the channels done a marathon screening and played every episode back to back. |

I've seen it a few times, last time was when one of the channels done a marathon screening and played every episode back to back. The TV series (as with the radio series in Dolby Stereo (if you could get it) was consudered ground breaking at the time! Must have been good to see it all in one hit. |

| 1185228 | 2011-03-12 04:41:00 | [URL="en.wikipedia.org When? What about in the US of A SJ? I was living in Houston in 78/9, and London 80/81. I don't recall seeing it at all in the States, but that's easy enough to miss given the wide choice of stations available even then. I didn't see it in London, but followed it here in 1981. :2cents: |
