1185324 2011-03-13 02:42:00 Scary stuff looking at them photos. Shows you what Mother Nature is capable of. Seeing that traffic jam shows what can happen when panic sets in in a high density population area and people want to get out of danger.

It is hard to comprehend the devastation that has happened Japan.

1185325 2011-03-13 02:57:00 Aparently the hydrogen comes from an oxidation reaction involving the protective coating over the fuel rods... so the rods themselves are in a process of accelerated decomposition. Paul.Cov (425)
1185326 2011-03-13 03:17:00 And they say only 4 workers injured ! ?

I'd be really surprised if they started syaing the thing was spewing radiation etc in all directions, loads of workers are hurt and it's out of control.

There's a 127million people in japan, where would they all run?

1185328 2011-03-13 03:55:00 It seems the main problems is that they don't have any power.
So all the pumps etc aren't working.

They had fail safe plans for everything except all the backup generators failing.

Its a bit like the backup power units they sell us.
They never seem to work when you want them to.
15 seconds to close down!

1185329 2011-03-13 03:59:00 The main problem here is all the people jumping to conclusions before all the facts are known.

Yep. The sky is still falling.

No power at a power station... would be funny if it wasn't so horrible.

1185331 2011-03-13 04:14:00 It'll be fine RX is at this moment fashioning tin foil hats with PF1 chat written on them, to distribute amongst us in the event of any fallout happening because of something said in this thread
Foil hats and boilerplate grundys are on the "must do" list, but first I have to clear a bit of a backlog in the procrastination dept.
