1215450 2011-07-08 10:49:00 Any device made in the last 4 years or so should have 64-bit drivers, and most devices in the last 6 years do. And Any Socket AM2/AM2+/AM3 or 1155/1156/1366 board will be 64-bit compatible. inphinity (7274)
1215451 2011-07-08 10:54:00 Well that's something else sorted out. Had looked at 32bit and wondered if it would use all the memory. QW. (15883)
1215452 2011-07-08 11:27:00 Quite frankly, there is nothing that a x64 bit system will have an advantage in, over a x86 (32bit) system on a Athlon II CPU...save yourself any driver grief! SolMiester (139)
1215453 2011-07-08 23:28:00 I have 4GB of RAM and I don't run any 64 bit OS yet. I see no point - 3.5GB has been enough for me so far, even with the latest games. Agent_24 (57)
1215454 2011-07-09 07:00:00 I will probably get either 32 or 64bit depending on the price. QW. (15883)
1215455 2011-07-09 07:03:00 if your not paying retail 64 bit is like .10 cheaper than 32bit. icow (15313)
1215456 2011-07-09 07:37:00 If buying new parts, you can get OEM software.

Just had a look at several of my suppliers, the 64 Bit is the same price or in some cases cheaper than the 32 bit. (by about $5)

1215457 2011-07-09 07:52:00 Depends what version of 64 bit you get. Down the road here, Home is $181. Pro is $236. And 32 bit $164 and $228

Down dominion road, its $194 for Home and $254 for Pro x86 / and x64

In town one of the shops, its $216 for Pro x64, $213 for x86, and $156 for Home x64, and $153 for x86

So it'll depend on where you are / where you buy it. On what it'll cost
