Do you mean as an alternative to a jacket?

If so then I guess yes. It's longer than a jacket and is likely to keep your nether regions warm and dry so long as it's waterproof.

Or you can go with a jacket and leggings. It's all going to depend on what you are using the clothing for I guess.

1186093 2011-04-13 06:18:00 Depend on what you mean by coats. Coats me think is not as flexible as a outdoor pursuit jacket. Unlike those it's not designed in layers.

Paddington has some not too expensive coats, that's wollen coats that can wear with a suit. If you get a big downpour it might soak up a bit of moisture ...

If you want something that is for rain like those classical light grey colour coats with the waist belt or darker colours also ... maybe just department stores, Kmart, Farmers, men's suit shops, or the designer label stores. But it's not going to be that warm, but you might find some a bit thicker. Not sure on that.

Kathmandu won't have them - they stock the sporty stuff.

I think the same company name anyway, no NZ site. But an idea.

For a bit cheaper stuff .. look at Dressmart. It's a shopping mall which has factory outlet shops. Less stuff to choose from thou and maybe last seasons stuff ... But all the big labels like Borders, Barkers, Sunglass Hut ... . ... ... you could even get Armani or Oakleys, cK frames, Goretex gears and coats - wool or nylon or cashmere :D :p

Last edit. Rembrandt is a NZ company that makes suits and overcoats etc ... . they are in Dressmart too.
