It's actually quite poor how showpost.php doesn't verify that the post number is correct for the post ID, it just returns the value given to it blindly. Just a 'lil fun, is all.Somebody's taken a shortcut :D. I personally suspect the reason for this was to improve performance, as it significantly reduces load on the database. ..... hmmm.... cross-site-scr.... nevermind...Haha, it's not an XSS vulnerability - sorry to disappoint you :rolleyes:. The input is validated - as far as I can tell from playing around with the value, it appears to use something like ^([0-9]+).*$. |
