1216903 2011-07-14 22:06:00 At work Im running a folder that we run 2 daily excel spreadsheets out of.
The folder the excel sheets are being run off are on a department drive so others can open these files.

The issue Im having is the constant .tmp files are being made even though the excel sheets are saved and closed.
This is happening for all excel sheets (we have a months worth of sheets prepped in the folder) that have/are being used at the time.

Any help to eliminate the issue.

Or would I have to run the folder from my machine, then put the sheet on the department drive once Ive finished? (Which defeats the purpose of allowing others access).

Cheer
Rob

1216908 2011-07-14 23:42:00 Not sure, Ive disabled the live monitoring and that seemed to have killed it. rob_on_guitar (4196)

Any decent AV will scan them, and in some cases the AV still has the file locked open when Excel tries to delete it. Instead of giving the user all sorts of errors, it just leaves them there.
