| 1216505 | 2011-07-13 00:54:00 | Got a Maxtor drive here, a 6H500F0 (500GB, SATA-3.0Gb/s) It has a jumper on two of the pins, which I assume has something to do with a SATA 1.5Gb/s limit mode The question is - does the jumper do limiting when it's ON or when it's OFF? Seagate's site is useless as the product page for that drive can't be found. |

| 1216508 | 2011-07-13 07:46:00 | I doubt there will be a need, but want to make sure that taking it off will actually speed it up. Then again, it's probably old enough it would make no difference anyway I've sent an email to Seagate reporting the missing page, maybe they'll fix it. |
