1186906 2011-03-17 07:59:00 Speed is nothing when you can blow your cap in under a day. I'm happy enough with my speeds, just not the price we have to pay for our caps! qazwsxokmijn (102)

1186908 2011-03-17 09:56:00 Bear in mind, that's backbone capacity. ubergeek85 (131)
1186909 2011-03-18 05:23:00 All this speed is a waste of time unless something is done about caps and how local traffic is handled.

1186910 2011-03-18 06:48:00 Thirded. i wouldn't care HOW fast I could have my downloads done, I would care whether or not they'd eat my cap.
If I had a huge cap, I'd simply have slow downloads going all day. (not torrents, of course. Lol bigtime.)

I immediately lost any respect for this guy when I opened the PDF.

His company name (in the footer) was in Comic Sans font!! And the background colour for the PDF is YELLOW!!! With lots of clashing BLUE and RED font!!!

Didn't even bother to read the content - the presentation was enough to turn me right off.

1186912 2011-03-18 17:56:00 In america they are now complaining about $50 250gb caps on Comcast's 10mb/s network

america can sack up, you can't even get 30gb for $50 here.

In reality the whole cloud computing/streaming tv etc thing will never work unless properly unless caps go up prices come down and general speed increases.... yes some of you may be very happy with your speeds but I can tell you there are many people who are not. my D/l is survivable but uploads are terrible (130kbs at the most)

1186913 2011-03-18 18:12:00 Aussie broadband deals seem better than here even allowing for their Home line being cheaper

Same here as it is hard to get direct comparisons

1186914 2011-03-18 22:00:00 I agree with the data cap issue too. All the speed in the world is nothing if we still have small data allowances for high prices!

So to all the idiots who see 1000000 Billion GigaBit Magical Fibre To Your Something and start drooling excessively, you are morons.

Think about this: At 14.78Mb/s my internet connection has the capacity to download 4.5 Terabytes per month.

What is my cap? 40GB.
