Them's fightin' words boy

I guess it's a generational thing - I consider Metallica to be rather good. I went to their show in Christchurch, holy **** that changed my life.

Just a guess here but did anyone ever make a connection about how Metla got his user name?

METalLicA possibly.

Just a thought and I may be wrong.

Would be interesting to see how that generational thing works given I went to concerts by the Arctic Monkey's and The Cribs, and my son goes to Alice Cooper, Metallica and Iron Maiden. If Metallica changed your life, you need to get out more.

I stole it off my brother, Back in high school his nick name was The Metaller. Most likely due to his giant mop of hair and love of Motorhead.

At that time only a few people in NZ had heard of Metallica, Their second album had just been released, sales were only counted in the thousands worldwide, and as stunning as Ride the Lightning turned out to be the band were nothing like the weak pop music-radio friendly douche-bags they would eventually turn into.

Oh. OK. My theory was wrong then.

1187321 2011-03-25 21:54:00 I went to see both Iron Maiden and Motorhead in the 80's both bands have been around for a long time now, never been a Metallica fan I found most American rock bands to be big on hype and small on ability but then I biased anyway by being born English. I mean the biggest bands are all English.
Black Sabbath
Led Zeppelin
Iron Maiden
Pink Floyd
Deep Purple

1187322 2011-03-25 22:08:00 meh, How is it any different from all the rest of the heavily produced, manipulated, synthesized, digitized, tuned pop crap that mainstream listeners love so much.

Sure she can't sing and the lyrics are stupid....wait, that's just more it has in common with the rest of the dribble the industry pumps out to the masses.

Perhaps she can go on tour with the black eyes peas.
and the industry wonders why we don't want to buy the crap.:groan:
