| 1188326 | 2011-05-04 05:12:00 | @Erayd there two point on this post 1 - delay Let me make this quite clear. You not only had the laptop for months, but you also sourced secondhand parts of dubious reliability and provenance, from eBay sellers you didn't know or trust, for a model you knew had previously been recalled. Quite apart from the dubious ethics you've displayed, it didn't even fix the problem! Noting that the second place the OP took it to managed to fix the fault with only a 5-day turnaround, this means at least one of the following: Your diagnostics were totally incompetent and failed to correctly identify the problem, and the real fault was unrelated to the motherboard. You were grossly negligent in identifying sources of replacement parts.Either way, you've displayed some pretty poor business practices. 2 - Wifi As for the wifi he never asked for Wifi and ask for $170 and if you know DV9000 you should know where is Wifi and if it's possible to missed out or no and how much is a Wifi. You returned his laptop without the WiFi card - end of story. He had another company install a new one and sent you the bill. Noting your extremely poor business practices mentioned earlier, why does it surprise you that he went elsewhere to have this rectified? |

While it sounds like that was probably the case, to be fair though, not all problems are obvious to all people all the time. Even the best repairman can get stuck on something blindingly obvious! Although even that doesn't excuse the missing WiFi card. |

| 1188328 | 2011-05-04 05:25:00 | Yeah, and they also do website design... For a great example, check out their own (http://www.gigacomputers.co.nz/) Clearly it is an ethnic site and you should be more respectful, apparently they sell computers with flax (www.gigacomputers.co.nz)screens so they could be part of Hone's IT support team! Dis them at your peril, you might wake up one morning and find a dead kumara on your pillow. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

Even the best repairman can get stuck on something blindingly obvious!Absolutely, but you'd have thought that they'd at least rethink their initial diagnosis after two replacement boards had the same issue... I still reckon that's reasonable grounds for calling them incompetent. |

I'd roast the kumara and eat it :D Absolutely, but you'd have thought that they'd at least rethink their initial diagnosis after two replacement boards had the same issue... I still reckon that's reasonable grounds for calling them incompetent. Oh yeah, for sure it sounds like they screwed that up, with two boards. What I would like to know is what the actual fault was! I hope Dixpat comes back and tells us... |
