All done except the firmware update, still the issues continue.

Yes Version 1 in the GPL Code Center WAG54G 1.00.65

If I choose Version 3, the firmware version I already have 1.00.46 has a more recent date on it?

Must go have a lie-down, be back later. To much doughnut.

1216439 2011-07-14 02:25:00 Is this the link you are using? Loads instantly for me although I am using Adblock+ and NoScript plus a few other things.

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/

Edit: Some gifs never load, not sure why. So I am seeing a version of the problem OP has.

Edit 1: Cured by allowing NoScript on the page concerned.

The reason I ask is as all your links come up fine in IE9.
