Giga Computers Ltd, have been an absolute pain to deal with. 8 Months on, since everything has FINALLY settled, I can now comment on the service I received from them. They are a company obligated to provide a service showing reasonable amount of skill and workmanship and they did not meet these requirements. They instead blamed me for bringing in a broken phone which was NOT the case. Customer service I received was slack, telling me excuse after excuse for the first 6 months. The customer service I received and witnessed from the manager was even more appalling. I do NOT recommend this company at all.

2 - Wifi

As for delay we explained to customer at early stage motherboard is not fixable and not passing stress test but he asked to taking other options and finding parts to fix and going further. we tried two different motherbaord after first time repair and find out pretty odd things going on and cause fault on new motherboard. Also he insist of laptop initially had output on external display and not accepting considered motherboard turned to odd and other faults! so that's why we spent around $800 with multiple orders of MOBO and parts. when we put the last new motherbaord and find the external display works ignored all extra job and even taking any further check or trying anythings more and only want the job out as noticed we're facing each day with odd kind of request and claim and a very difficult customer.


As for the wifi he never asked for Wifi and ask for $170 and if you know DV9000 you should know where is Wifi and if it's possible to missed out or no and how much is a Wifi.



And my main reason to reply this post is Wifi issue! in fact pretty obvious what was the purpose of this post initially.

2)You seem to repeatedly get bad feedback about your repairs.

As for diag, we've most of schematics and the highest advanced tools for replacing most of chips, BGA and even Macbook and MacBook Pro parts as well . in fact we've fix many MOBO that's been rejected by OEM and others .
On this case MOBO shows multiple faults and each time comes with a different problem! consider time, parts and so many factors and have other service jobs on we informed at early stage but explained customer was a difficult person . . .

Also I'm sure many of other computer shop (owners and techs) already visit our tech and even attending in our place during the DIAG and repairs of some hard cases and seen unbelievable result .
Regards to this exceptional case I forgot to say one more important thing . In fact after seeing odd faults we find out HP previously had a recall program for this series of DV9000 for free replacement that wasn't valid any more due to being out of warranty and old laptop . they already had on their website and well explained multiple issues may pops out!

the OP said it came back to him with the wifi card missing, what the hell happened to it?
