I moved here from the UK via a few other places but I don't bash England as I still have many good friends there who haven't left for whatever reasons Afaik most of the posters on that forum are people who have moved to NZ (although I must admit that the forum's name is totally misleading) and now spend all their time whinging about the terrible mistake they have made. The obvious response to them is "B***** off then back to where you came from". |

| 1188042 | 2011-03-22 08:42:00 | A few years ago there were a lot of people leaving the country and the saying was, "would the last person out of New Zealand please turn out the lights". Roger Douglas comes to mind. We do have a lot of New Zealanders overseas for whatever reason. Some left because they were dissatisfied with the way things were going while others merely wanted to have a look around. Those that left NZ because they were dissatisfied would be the ones that have become kiwi bashers, more the pity for them. I have travelled overseas and I am more than happy to stay in this country because it is my home country. I have not found a better country than New Zealand. |

| 1188043 | 2011-03-22 17:26:00 | Well I’m now ashamed to be a born and bred Kiwi. The country’s gone to the pack with all the PC bullocks. I shouldn’t be at all surprised if Japan sorts its earthquake and tsunami problems and Queensland recovers from floods and cyclones, all before they sort out the main street in Christchurch. The way the Christchurch disaster is being handled, following on from the Pike River disaster, leaves me and quite a few others sickened. We’ve become a country of professional “Hand Wringers”. |
