1187655 2011-03-20 02:52:00 First of all I thought that's a bit in your face, followed up by the word 'glaring', then I visually turned off.

Reminded me of Rebel Sports or Hardly Normal ads on TV shouting out at me before I have a chance to mute them.

1187659 2011-03-20 04:38:00 I have two words - one a Auckland maori suburb name, the other a partial anagram (I think) relating to the product image. kahawai chaser (3545)

1187663 2011-03-20 05:24:00 Perhaps tuiruru, Cicero? Get it together man, I know you are distracted today waiting for the Big One, but really...

It's all right for you, I have been sitting here all day sighing with relief.

Hard to concentrate with all those homonym's about.

I was a 10 pounder to Australia in 54.

1187664 2011-03-20 05:59:00 Hi

Well, first of all “Thank you” all for your interest and participation in this, and apologies if it's “dun 'yer 'ed in”. It started this morning when SWMB came in, flashed the carton (which I had never seen before) in front of me and said, “I can't look at that without thinking of <<the word>>”.
I replied, “It's <<the word>>, isn't it?” and got a rather regal “Of course” for my trouble.

Well, that got me thinking about how “of course” it actually was – hence this post. It seemed to me (as implied originally) that two of the major factors involved would be age and where you were from.

Inphinity's original post (#10)was either a veiled reference cos he knew the answer, or a lucky use of words - as was beetle's (#13) later. In fact I thought of posting “Get it” and “Don't get it”, or more subtly, “Got it” or “Haven't got it”, as the required responses, but I thought that would be too much auto-suggestion for those “on the cusp” of the generation\culture thing. It was interesting that John H (#20) and “ 'er indoors” picked up on the Cartia\Cartier connection – the fact that “she” arrived here in '53 might mean that, despite being kind of the “right age” (no offence intended ;)) and Nationality, she , for the purposes of this, became part of the “wrong culture” (and you Cis1! (#29)).

So, as far as we're concerned, <<the word>> is “Get”, because that then produces “Get Carter (en.wikipedia.org)” - the film from 1971.

So..........thanks once again – obviously I'm interested in what other word's people wanted to put in there.

I now wait with bated breath!
