Wasn't this about ownership? So, it seems an eminently suitable time for an appropriate tune: www.youtube.com |

| 1187753 | 2011-03-20 09:55:00 | The Romans left Briton a long time ago possibly in the 5th century. The land would surely now belong to the British. Over the centuries the land would have changed hands multiple times. If I were to buy land and there was a building on it then I would expect ownership of the land to include the building. The Romans should be told to take a running jump. | Bobh (5192) | ||

They didn't themselves actually build the bridge, they used conscripted local Celt labour and local stone quarried by conscripted Celts. There would be a stronger case for the Welsh to claim that bridge maybe ?? We call it the Roman bridge, therefore it is a Roman bridge. Prime Minister Cameron is talking of acquiescing! This PC world has a lot to answer for. |

So rename it as the 'Stone Bridge'. It may have been designed by the Romans but surely it belongs to the British or Welsh. |

| 1187757 | 2011-03-20 19:12:00 | As a Kentish Jute, I have just put in a claim against the Italians, Danish, French, Germans for reparations for war crimes committed against my people by the aforementioned Romans, Vikings, Normans, Saxons. Also a claim for reparation for loss of land, buildings and language. I am also claiming against the Catholic church for all of the above plus the subjugation of my peoples pagan beliefs |

| 1187761 | 2011-03-20 19:59:00 | 160,000,000 sestercii coming your way. Don't spend it all at once. Signed, The Brits :pf1mobmini: 2 billion US dollars? Sweet! Although somehow I think the bridge is worth less yet somehow I deserve more! |
