Not only is she a language teacher of long duration, but she is also a 10 Pound Pom who arrived here in 1953. Perhaps it is another culture you were thinking of. We both thought of the same homonym for Cartia, but even that doesn't suggest a word in front of it. All it brought to my mind (and this is not difficult to do) was Audrey Hepburn, but that was Tiffanys anyway... |
