So to all the idiots who see 1000000 Billion GigaBit Magical Fibre To Your Something and start drooling excessively, you are morons.

Think about this: At 14.78Mb/s my internet connection has the capacity to download 4.5 Terabytes per month.

What is my cap? 40GB.

Agreed. As as also been said, this is backbone infrastructure NOT to your house speed.

One would imagine, though, that the increased capacity to deliver data will drive down the cost per unit of that data delivery, leading to an increase in data cap allowances over time.
Certainly, there are other factors to consider as well, like international pipe capacity and telco's fat profits, but it is a step in the right direction, as well as being a technically impressive networking technology.

1186916 2011-03-18 23:14:00 Yeah the price will go down eventually, it has certainly gone down, I think when I signed up for ADSL Telecom's best plan was something like $160 for 10GB at 2Mbit.

And despite the speed of my connection I don't have the money to buy an extra 4.5TB of storage each month...
