| 1188022 | 2011-03-21 08:12:00 | sounds like a bunch of people need to put up or shut up. most city's have a voluntary rescue team, go join up, they always need more people with the guts to get in and save others. it's easy to sit back and knock others when your on the internet, it's a lot harder to get out there and do the hard yards. FYI, I did 10 years of rescue work so I have "been there and done that", though not to the level of Japan's situation. |

It always feels like there's so much you can't do in NZ, at least not without a very very deep wallet. I mean data caps on the internet? Really, that's so last decade. That said, I am a fan of the metric system and alot of the people here. |

The grass isn't always greener on the other side, try the UK many millions of people crammed into one tiny country, economy shot to hell, America economy shot to hell, idiots who think having the right to own a gun means they should be able to park a tank in the garage and then shoot the neighbours and very high rate of taxation compared to here, Australia just about anything with teeth can kill you from ants to crocs. I have lived in various places before coming here and I consider NZ to be way nicer to live than anywhere else I have been |

Agreed, but upon criminal conviction lose the right to own arms which should extend to everyone living on said premisis.
