Hi mate, yeah its a work phone, so i usually connect it up most work days...trouble is those backups are on an older o/s version for the phone, and I have had it complain about that before....

I will go back to vodafone shortly and see what is happening!

1218280 2011-07-22 02:06:00 Try restore in DFU mode.

Was it jailbroken?

What are the error codes you were recieving - Where they similar like 1601, 1602,1604 etc...?

Try an update to the latest 4.3.4 software (Don't if you want to jailbreak :D)

1218281 2011-07-22 02:06:00 My boss had the same issue with his iPad2. We double-checked, re-downloaded from Apple, DFU mode and forced selection of an older version, the works, couldn't get it to re-flash :-/ Chilling_Silence (9)

1218284 2011-07-22 02:27:00 Error 1611: This error may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article. Also attempt to restore (support.apple.com) while connected with a known-good 30-pin Dock Connector cable, computer, and network to isolate this issue to the device. The MAC address being missing (support.apple.com) or the IMEI being the default value (00 499901 064000 0) can also confirm a hardware issue. Out-of-date or incorrectly configured proxy or security software, such as FoxyProxy, can cause error 1611. To troubleshoot third-party security software, follow these steps (support.apple.com).
