1189060 2011-03-24 20:53:00 There's a spam e-mail apparently from UPS doing the rounds, which I received this morning The e-mail is from supportadma@ups.com with an attachment (United Parcel Service document.zip). The text of the message (which immediately aroused my suspicions), is


Dear customer.

The parcel was sent your home address.
And it will arrive within 7 business day.

More information and the tracking number are attached in document below.

Thank you.

I haven't a clue what this is about, or what is contained in the attachment. I just followed the advice of UPS NZ and deleted it.

EDIT I should have mentioned UPS immediately knew what I was talking about. They felt it was a reprise of a similar spam in 2010.

Having had genuine shipments from UPS, FedEX, DHL, etc, this stood out as the usual virus spam.

Traced the IP on the one from this morning, came via delta-telecom.net.

Located in Azerbaijan ?
