Let me give you the background to this query. In 2008 I purchased a Uniden Route Guidance System complete with Aus & NZ maps. It has served me well and probably is still accurate for 99% of driving in both countries. However, as we all know Roads do get added and Intersections changed. Now, I got onto Uniden and they tell me I have the latest maps (2008) for my model and I would need to purchase a new unit complete with latest maps. That’s fine, but all I want to do is edit a couple of Motorway Entrance and Exit points in both countries. Now given that these things somehow seem to run on a SD Card with only about 250k of data on it I was wondering if the card could be edited? Unfortunately, I have no idea how these things actually work, so any good links or explanations would be appreciated. I do realise that they are essentially a somewhat refined GPS and probably work off waypoints so I figured if one could edit the waypoints then one could fix a few minor errors. ;) |
