1189002	2011-03-24 08:15:00	The media seems to have missed it, but there are some remarkable business liaisons going on in ChCh. My barber's shop was munted in the 4-Sep EQ, so he moved in with the florist next door. It's quite fun having your hair cut surrounded by flowers. Now, the florist's lease is expiring, so the barber is looking at moving into an unused corner of a chemist's shop. SWMBO's doctor's rooms are in the CBD next to a red-stickered building, so they've moved into the netball pavilion in Hagley Park. Makes sense. They are a Mon to Fri business. Netball only need their pavilion at the weekend. And some businesses are thinking strategically. SWMBO and her business partners, whose office in the CBD is about be demolished with all their stuff inside, have been invited to take offices in a firm they do a lot of work with. It's only partly altruistic. The firm sees the cross-fertilisation that will ensue will be of huge benefit to themselves. I know of a couple of other companies outside of the CBD that have figured this out as well.	TideMan (4279)
