1188855 2011-03-25 01:55:00 It's not a ripoff, Firefox is open source, they can do whatever they want with it. That's the whole point! Agent_24 (57)

I hear some slight negativism there, m'boy! I wonder if these re-dressed FF versions are eating more headroom or sucking RAM too .

To this very moment I cannot find any acceleration (as so firmly touted and pimped) in running Chrome . It's the same speed as FF - and I don't know about IE as the stick hasn't been made that is long enuff to use it by me yet .

Actually - I am very lost here in this conversation - as I don't even KNOW any of the Bird-versions and that may be for the best for them AND me to keep it that way .

Wanna hear about my adventures in a dual boot Win XP-Pro/Linux Ubuntu someday?

Pull up a chair, a twelve pack and an alarm clock and we'll chat .

1188857 2011-03-25 02:17:00 Well this annoying leave / stay message. It comes up in firefox, I couldnt try it in IE 32bit, sign in didnt work. I couldnt log into the MS forum to find out.

However, IE x64 works. And that was fine, posted something, no leave or stay message. So, it maybe a FF 4 PITA

1188858 2011-03-25 02:20:00 Is it ORDERING you to LEAVE/STAY or just asking?

Inquiring minds need to know. Maybe it knows you are a secret IE user.

1188859 2011-03-25 02:21:00 Waiting for it to hit the Ubuntu repos here....
Go to this site (releases.mozilla.org) and drill down then download/uncompress and then point to firefox and you are away laughing.

1188860 2011-03-25 02:24:00 On the MS forum everytime you reply to a post (in FF 4 ONLY so far). Leave is to save what you post lol. And stay is to stay (on the post you're replying to). Why would you stay there, if youre replying to a post.

Stupid blardy site (I think its a FF screwup). Only thing is, the same thing doesnt happen in this forum or another forum (Neowin). When I post it posts, without asking

1188861 2011-03-25 02:28:00 Just trying FF4 now. And starting to hate it with this MS forum lol. Bloody thing keeps asking if I want to leave the page or stay, everytime I reply to posts.

I wouldnt do it, it if I didnt want to, would I. Must be an annoying feature on the site. Since it didnt happen with FF 3.6
I think you will find a setting to fix this as it sounds similar to what happens when going from an encrypted page to a non encrypted page.

I'm on a few sites right now with FF4 and no such thing is happening here .

I tend to shy away from anything with the MS logo - as I find it not conducive to my happiness - don't ask .

Still - I wonder what's going on for youse guys . Upsidedown-ed-ness is a condition, not a disease .

1188863 2011-03-25 02:35:00 What a piece of crap :( Just downgraded to version 4, why downgrade -- Its hopeless.

Its crashed once already here where as FF3 was fine, and the main pain in the arse - is the zoom -- If I increase one page to say 125% then open another tab, its at 100%, every tab that opens is at different levels. At least 3.? was consistent across all tabs.

IE, Opera, you change the zoom, it carries across to all pages / Tabs, and at least shows you what % its at, cant find that option in FF4.
Well if I increase zoom on one page I don't want it to happen on every tab only the one that needs it and it is not too difficult to press Ctrl"+" or Ctrl"-" any way.
If you consistently need to zoom maybe you need to increase the default font size.
