Where does CometBird come from?

CometBird is developed from the source codes of Mozilla FireFox and also follow the source code license of Mozilla.

FireFox is a fast, powerful and full-featured web browser which is an open source program. By using the FireFox codes (exactly the same except some logo pictures) and carefully selected addons, we make CometBird stable and easy to use.

So it's a FF rip.

1188826 2011-03-24 08:12:00 What a piece of crap :

Its crashed once already here , and the main pain in the arse - is the zoom -- If I increase one page to say 125% then open another tab, its at 100%, every tab that opens is at different levels. A

Er...I've been using it all day. No crashes. Zoom, just did it, opened tabs, same size.

1188827 2011-03-24 08:20:00 Just tried it on a workshop PC as well - the Zoom does the exact same different sizing unless the add-on is installed. wainuitech (129)
1188828 2011-03-24 08:21:00 Just downloaded it, and it as you say it is wainui

EDIT. just checked chrome and safari, they only resize the tab you are in. So it must be IE only that does it out of the box with no addons

But it still looks like ff3 and can grab video and audio from any site.

Cometbird ftw

1188830 2011-03-24 14:53:00 Took me a while to find the little 'HOUSE' for my homepage - somehow it had gotten shoved off the top of the bar and didn't return until I went to customize the toolbar . Not a fun situation when you can't go home!

I don't like having the tabs all the way on top and into my theme either . It just covers the Fender Bass guitar that I have there and makes it nothing more than a dark spot with no definable image now .

I'll S/S and post it here .

It's just bland-looking and I want the old colors and artwork back . Hopefully there'll be some add-ons that work like the old ones did .

So change it. You can have the tabs back down.

1188832 2011-03-24 19:06:00 I like it now that I have used it for a day. I looked at both Opera and chrome last week I visit them both from time to time and I simply can't stand that minimalist look they both have where it takes a month of searching to find the button you need. Initially yesterday i wasn't sure about FF4 as it didn't seem to be any quicker but it just got better as the day went on gary67 (56)

How/where's this setting?

The new format is very confusing - although after 26:30 hours (NZ= 26 . 5MHs) now - it doesn't quite hurt my eyes as much as at first .
