Lounge has a desktop on the carpet, garage workshop partitioned off has 2 more desktops on the wooden floor. Now have the two back stand rubbers over the back of the desk, just in case No. 4 strikes. It (the next big one) will probably come from an entirely new direction and another crash eventuate. Can depend on the parts. One day A certain relative of mine, after HE knocked it off the bench, decided to punish it and booted it round the room for a while. Once I saw it, it's poor case looked like it had been run over by a truck, the CD drive had burst out, the front switch was smithereens etc etc, Pulled it apart, panelbeated the case, re-jigged the switch so you touched the wires (now hanging out) together to start, put it's abused bits back in - and voila!! It went!!! For quite a long time - until it was retired. Yay for ASUS motherboards, worst beating one had ever had I reckon. |
