1218178 2011-07-21 09:53:00 I have a 40GB intel X25M SSD I'm using as an OS drive. I went to boot my PC this morning and I got the black screen disk failure message just after POST. I tried using my restore CD and point it to my latest backup image on another drive. Didn't work. So I tried to use the format utility on my Win 7 install DVD. That option was blanked out. So I tried to just reinstall Windows. It told me I couldn't install because the SSD only had 8mb capacity! I tried using the disk management utility in Windows (I hooked the SSD up via USB). Options were greyed out once again.

Is there a disk utility I can use to do a deep deletion/reformat and get my SSD back to it's proper near 40GB capacity?
