| 1219372 | 2011-07-26 22:32:00 | A word of advice: DON'T move all your data to an external drive, leave everything where it is and just make a copy/backup of the data on the external hard drive. For some reason people seem to think that because it is an external hard drive it won't fail but they will fail just like any internal hard drive will. We get a lot of failed external hard drives in the workshop that people have been using as their only storage for their data rather than just as a backup and they are very upset when they find out they have lost everything. |
