1219324 2011-07-26 11:25:00 I have 3x Vista PC's and a Mac air connecting to the internet via this routers Wifi.

The 2x Vista Pro and Mac both have problems keeping a stable connection.

The Mac after waking from sleep does not pick up a valid ip address from the thomson DHCP server. after a reset of the mac or the router it does.

The 2x Vista Pro machines connect initially but timeout after several hours or do not reconnect after waking from sleep. Wifi connect shows signal strength as being strong but the ip address shown by netstat shows a local 169.x.x.x address rather than the 192.168.1.x dhcp allocated address.

And one Vista basic machine works with out a hitch.
Both the problem Vista laptops and the mac air work without a problem when connecting to the internet via any other wifi.

Has anyone else had a similar problem or ideas.
The router config is pretty basic with no changes from the Telecom suggested config.

That'll be because DHCP allocation has failed, windows likes to drop back to an address like that when that happens.

I've never had much luck with the DHCP server on thompsons, I would recommend setting all computers to static IP, easy as pie.

Yeah I've had countless issues like that, it's the router unfortunately ...

Check out something like the NetComm NB6Plus4Wn. They're great, solid, easy to setup, well-priced.
