1190293 2011-03-29 21:02:00 This story (www.stuff.co.nz) is about how kindergarten kids are taught gun safety and are rewarded with a 'Gun License' before they can play with toy guns. They are taught to shoot at targets and not at people.

I think that this is brilliant and teaches gun safety at an early age. This is much like when I was at primary school and we got a visit from a traffic cop who taught us road safety rules. We even had our bicycles inspected and stickered passed or failed.

Its not them id be worried about its the ones with a mini gun you have to hide from, actually hiding is no good either

I think it's great to teach firearm safety, but I just have to wonder if this is a tad too young, especially as it may introduce firearms as a solid concept to a number of the children in the 3 - 4 age bracket who otherwise would be blissfully unaware for a few more years. inphinity (7274)
