1190372 2011-03-30 20:16:00 I recorded it on my PVR so I already know what I did wrong but I'm not sure there's any easy way to move the file from my PS3 to my laptop. Anyway, they liked it so I'm going to be on weekly.

I watched your debut yesterday and IMHO you did very well. Congratulations on the weekly slot.

Are you there as a rep of PCWorld, or as a techie?

A lot of other magazines, tend to post the vids of their reps being interviewed on tv shows (or reviewing things) on their websites, I always kind of assumed it was one of those dual publicity things, the tv show shows gets a credible rep and the magazine gets credible exposure that can be checked out by those perusing their site.

Mind you I donn't know if any of these PCWorld reps can top Jan Birkelands porno mustache, on breakfast during Movemeber

1190374 2011-03-30 20:30:00 I have the Linksys AM300 modem which is ADSL2+.

Aaaaah the AM300, a man after my own heart! :D

Do we have a link yet?

I've got mine but haven't yet uploaded, figured I'd wait and see how yours turned out...

1190376 2011-03-30 21:09:00 Mine is being uploaded to Utube at the moment . It is currently 33% complete but it is very slow to upload . Fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong this time . I lowered the resolution hoping to get a faster upload .

Last night I left it to upload while I was sleeping . The computer did an automatic update and rebooted so I lost everything and had to start from scratch again this morning .

Just as well I did two recordings . During the first attempt to edit the recording I found that the audio and video were out of synch . You could see soldiers running through forests with Siobhan's voice describing the gadgets . I abandoned that edit and found that the other recording was in synch .

Thank you! I could tell it was going well as we were doing it . When I watched it back I noticed a couple of little performance things I could've improved but since I'm doing it weekly I can always fix it next week!

I'm introduced as Siobhan from PC World . You're right, it's beneficial for both parties (and for me personally, in terms of my "brand"/skillset etc . ) . If people are interested then they're more likely to seek out the magazine or website, of course, and the show gets to show off gadgets without seeming like they don't know anything . It's a win-win .

Bobh - thanks for your efforts! You're a champ .

1190381 2011-03-30 22:00:00 Not bad at all! Will have to find some cunning way of watching it every week. Bob might get very good at editing and uploading video... wratterus (105)
