Compare that picture to the official one I posted, the 'teeth' on your Gamebit one are much shorter, and rounder, and in my opinion, would be great for slipping and stripping the head of the screw. I recall reading on a forum, someone bought a Zoozen "All Access" toolkit, and complained the Gamebit driver was useless for that exact reason. Unless this is actually a DIFFERENT screw. Also, your post sounds a little like spam. |

Well, the photo of the screw head matches my photo of the US screw and as I said, that yielded nicely to cheap socket set. The socket splines were a perfect match for the keys on the head and I removed and replaced them a number of times without any damage. I even made a video of it as I had to demonstrate some issues for the Court and needed to show the whole process from dismantling through to reassembly as continuous video (no edits) using a large running clock with the seconds hand in the shot at all times. I often wondered what they thought when they saw how easy it was to circumvent their anti-tamper security screws. I'd try that before I looked for any expensive solutions, my socket set was a cheapie Mitre 10 job I think. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

Also, your post sounds a little like spam. generally when you make your post in a forum of any sort and show the slight bit of information of a play where to buy something - it normally sounds like spam. so, i'll take that. ;) i would say the same thing if you posted in one of my normal forums with this reply. actually i was just passing by and notice that you were looking for some key information. i had it and added to my dismay to see your response. no worries - like i said i would have done the same thing. i own both tools and one in the picture that you are displaying is wrong - well not wrong, but its the wrong size - its 4.5mm gamebit. If you are after the tool to open the Canon Pixma iP4300 then it is the ones that i pointed out. Your picture on the right and the picture on the left are the same tool. I have a sample of both. I have an old one like the one from the right in my tool box. It is a bit shorter than the one I own from the left. They are both made by the same company ( newelectronx ) that i pointed out to you earlier. Between the 3.88mm and 4.5mm gamebit, you will find that the 3.8mm fits your Cannot Pixma iP4300 screws, but get both just to make sure. Again, I hope my information will aid in helping you out. Good luck. |

| 1189692 | 2011-03-30 06:41:00 | Well thank you for your information, I did not mean to be rude or dismissive of your post when I said it sounded like spam, I am sorry if I came across this way. I didn't really think it was spam as you weren't promoting a dodgy website or anything, just saying that as a new member and the kind of post it was it seemed a little spam-ish. But again, thank you for your information and hopefully you will stay on the forum! |
