| 1219879 | 2011-07-29 07:06:00 | I have been given a computer which is in good nic and going well. I just need to save all the emails so they can be read without an email programme. I have no idea if this is possible and if it is, how I would go about doing it. Failing that.. is there some way I could export all the emails to open them up on another computer running outlook. I have this horrid feeling that this may be simple but I have never learned how as I have never had a need to (until now) | ollieogg (6593) | ||
| 1219880 | 2011-07-29 07:21:00 | Look/search for .pst suffixed files if from outlook, .dbx if from outlook express. www.google.co.nz ok+express&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a |

| 1219885 | 2011-07-29 09:55:00 | I need to save all the emails so they can be read without an email programme . Are they in Outlook or Outlook Express? You can actually save as . text: Save Messages as Plain Text with Outlook To save an email as plain text in Outlook: Open the desired message in the Outlook preview pane . To save multiple messages to one text file, highlight them all in the mailbox . In Outlook 2007: Select Save As from the message's Office button . In Outlook 2003: Choose File | Save As . . . from the menu . Make sure Text Only (or Text Only (* . txt)) is selected under Save as type: . Type the desired file name under File name: or accept the suggested name . Choose the folder to save your emails in under Save in: . Click Save . To save a message as a plain text file with Windows Mail or Outlook Express: Open the message in Outlook Express . Select File | Save As . . . from the menu . Select Text Files (* . txt) from the file type drop-down menu . Give your file a name . Click Save . Looks ugly and you'll see icky html sometimes, but it's readable . |
