| 1191848 | 2011-04-04 04:06:00 | I used to live about 1 min from there, nothing at all wrong with the intersection, great visibility both directions. Looks like the fault is squarely with the driver. The only change with the intersection in the last 15 years is they slightly widened it to put turning lanes in both directions about 5 years ago, and they put a streetlight in at the same time. | 1191849 | 2011-04-04 04:43:00 | Oh, the fact they called it a Highway made me think it must have been flossied up or straightened or something since we lived in Takaka. We often used to use that Moutere road if we wanted to go home via Seifried's original vineyard, and other vinous purveyors. That is the turn off to Neudorf vineyard isn't it? And I think there used to be an apple wine maker up there, who gave us a giggle because he seemed to enjoy his product so much... Quite early in the day too... There is nothing wrong with that intersection that I can remember, and it certainly looks OK on Google Earth. |

| 1191850 | 2011-04-04 07:33:00 | Know it well I used to drink at the Upper Moutere Inn and travel back into Mot mega pissed when drink driving was a sport not a crime. Dads mate got killed on the lower Moutere Bridge around 1966. |
