Look past the stereotypical negatives and ignore the opportunity for maori bashing. Nick I don't even bother with, there's only about two decent programs that they ever made, the best of which is the Avatar TLAB series. As for everything else, it's all the same formulaic crap. As soon as one drama's done, it's onto the next. If it's not murders, it's thefts, rapes, people dying, people leaving, people fighting or drinking, it's all trying to portray realistic crap in the most unrealistic way, making it even more crap than it is in real life. |

Tuku and Hone bashing is allowed of course :devil Indeed I have, what they have that is worth broadcasting could easily be put on a normal state owned television channel, there is no need to replicate the infrastructure just to appease some racist delusion. Having said that, I don't think we should be funding any television channels, they should all live or die on their own merits, rather then having some fat bastards sucking in hundreds of thousands of dollars each year drawn from our damn money. |

I don't even bother with cartoon network, when we got sky over 10 years ago (i was 4 or 5), Cartoon Network constantly played classics like Scooby-Doo (the original), Yogi Bear, Looney Tunes. Nickelodeon only plays the decent stuff from 12am to 2am weekdays (early hours of the morning) They show the real classic stuff thats worth watching, notably The Ren & Stimpy Show. The only other time i watch tv is when i'm taping The Drew Carey Show, other than that, tv sucks. |

Don't even get me started on that Parliament channel. Wouldn't mind a TV2+1. Only thing I really watch now is Graham Norton Show, Family guy and the police shows (10/7 and the aussie one) and was watching Dating in the Dark till ****y American Idol took over. An Idiot Abroad was good too. Other than that nothing decent has been on since Prison Break was on a couple years ago. |
