1191534	2011-04-03 11:03:00	Don't even need to grab the wire for it to kill you, with that sort of power, it just jumps to any nearby conductor, that's why the insulators that hold the wire to the towers are over a foot long. Just climbing towards the wire was an act of epic dumbassery, being thrown off and cooked internally was the inevitable result. Poor kid, but other than that, this is a good thing.	ubergeek85 (131)

I live under a power pylon and you wouldn't believe how many people ask me if I've ever climbed it. to me that's like being asked if I'm a total F**kwit. True story, I once met a man with burns on half his body and the lower part of his arm missing, he explained to me that as a boy he'd climbed a pylon and while reaching up for a handhold a spark had "leapt" from the wire to his outstretched arm. There are warning signs and barbed wire, anyone who ignores them is lacking something in the common sense part of the brain.	dugimodo (138)

I met a guy that had been earthquake proofing a building using steel rods going from one side to the other and he was about to tighten the bolt on one side of one when he got wacked with a shock and thrown off the ladder.
