Well to be fair Shift 2 is billing itself as a simulation title.

Gameplay wise ( certainly not setting wise ) I actually think the highpoint of NFS as an arcade title was Underground 2, despite the abominable 'boy racer' setting of it, the free roaming city with no cops was a revelation at the time and its city design is streets ahead of later NFS titles that still included the free roam element.

1191304 2011-04-02 20:23:00 having said that however it is very exciting and does give you the feel of barely controlled chaos, i.e. passing a pagani zonda at 140mph while power sliding around the outside of a corner in my race modded evo.

Well thats a bit of a problem right there, an evo does not pass a zonda

i guess the zonda could have been parked??

Is it marketed as a sim?

if so then it shouldn't include fantasy elements. Gmes they maybe but if they claim a certain level of realism then the bubble shouldn't burst within seconds of hitting the track.

That aside, I have low expectations for titles in the NFS series, But having the game decide the car react will differently when the exact same conditions are repeated on a track is a new low.

Have purchased it from here (uk.gamesplanet.com) and runs very good on my system.
