1219866 2011-07-29 06:03:00 I have a "Logitec" (correct spelling); daisy wheel printer that is in working order; including cabels and manual: also a Sinclair QL computer that may be fixable.

Is there anyone in Christchurch who is compiling an old computer museum, or is collecting such things?

1219867 2011-07-29 09:58:00 No idea about Ch/ch but Auckland Uni - Computer Science had a cool computer museum. All sorts of stuff from the old mainframes they used to old Amigas and bits and pieces.

Maybe Ch/ch uni does something similar?

1219868 2011-07-30 05:58:00 The museum at Ferrymead has a section for this sort of thing.

As for the Auckland Uni one, my old Commodore 64 is in there.

I just phoned Ferrymead and was told that they don't collect anything after 1920.

1219870 2011-08-10 06:30:00 Last time I was at Ferrymead, I was looking at a hard drive that was as big as a F&P washing machine. From memory 2MB. Driftwood (5551)
