| 1221594 | 2011-08-08 00:26:00 | I have a computer that is dropping the usb ports. What I mean is the computer recognizes a flash drive is plugged in but shows nothing on it. They showed up when booted up and can see the documents on them half an hour later they have disappeared. I went to attach something to an email and found the drives were no longer reading. The drives themselves are showing up on the file menu (although they have changed names i.e. e:\ become f:\, j:\ became k:\ etc, but its not showing up their contents. Even the external hard drive has gone missing. The device manager does not show any faults. Could someone suggest a repair approach. Thank you |
