| 1193942 | 2011-04-13 05:42:00 | This in stuff www.stuff.co.nz They are pushing this bill through under urgency hidden in the Christchurch earthquake recovery measures. I find this disgraceful. I have never voted for labour but this is the final straw. We live in a democracy, not a dictatorship. :ban National. |

Its HOW this bill is being rushed through, it seems very deceptive and I am National Supporter for the record. As for Piracy, its all smoke and mirrors it will have zero effect. |

| 1193949 | 2011-04-13 08:07:00 | Well it was strongly opposed for a reason. Now i'm not saying i'm a supporter of piracy but what I am saying is that if they are prepared to sneak in a bill that was strongly opposed by the public then what else are they sneaking or going to sneak in? And what do they propose to do with the bill. Piracy can cover a lot of stuff. Most of the stuff covered we don't actually think of often. Its just another step to further censored internet. I appreciate piracy is damaging but if they get away with this they could get away with more bold claims to internet domination. |

It is a lot different to the original proposal. www.legislation.govt.nz File+Sharing%29+Amendment+Bill_resel&p=1#tmpn1011a |
