1193734 2011-04-12 03:01:00 Gone
Tunisia - Ben Ali
Egypt - Hosni Mubarak
Ivory Coast - Laurent Gbagdo

Going
Yemen - Ali Abdullah Saleh
Lybia - Muammar Gaddafi

All in the space of a few months, what does this mean, what does this tell us.

My worry is China, what if the people of China realize there is a better way, what happens to the world if the second largest economy is swallowed in civil war?

1193735 2011-04-12 03:15:00 So much for the religious nutters saying three kings will fall before Armageddon.

The Chinese enjoy being repressed i wouldnt worry about them

1193736 2011-04-12 03:16:00 Never gonna happen in China. Cato (6936)

Could be applied to anyone, anytime anywhere.

It would apply well to Franz Ferdinand, Nicholas II & Wilhelm II, IMHO. :)

1193738 2011-04-12 03:22:00 These were mostly stable regimes, in place for 30 - 40 years. China is not immune. DeSade (984)
1193739 2011-04-12 03:27:00 I think it would happen here before China Gobe1 (6290)

Life in china is much better than those desert **** holes . Education is great, health care is only getting better .

I dare say they have a pretty good legal system in rural areas .

Also, if you look at the demographics, particularly the age-spread, employment, education, health care, life expectancy and birth rate; they are very similar to us rather than the Arabs .

They're going to implode in about 25 years from too many old folk .

1193741 2011-04-12 03:36:00 Life in China is improving rapidly for the nation and individuals. It is more likely they will "retrain" some conspicuously greedy business people than the government team. They have a bit of practice in that field. R2x1 (4628)
1193742 2011-04-12 03:40:00 What about the wider picture, 5 Dictators fallen or falling in a few months that have been in power for decades.
Why so many, why now, whats changed?
DeSade (984)
1193743 2011-04-12 03:42:00 I think it was more of a domino effect, they did it why cant we sort of thing
Very unusual tho as you said
