You'll be hard pressed to find a nice place without a contract, from experience minimum will be about 4 months. It'll cost you 4 weeks rent for bond + 1 week finders/administrative fee + 1 week rent in advance. 250 is on the lower side, but shouldn't be a problem, however if you have a car expect to pay 40-60 for parking. |

How is aucklands public transport system? because I will have to travel to work in the morning (new market) and then to AMES in the city at night and then home again(10pm ish) The bond etc shouldn't be too hard. it should be said that im 17, 18 in july so there is also the legalitys to deal with. |

| 1193303 | 2011-04-10 05:14:00 | Public transport within the CBD is pretty decent, with the Link bus covering most of the area and runs I think every 15 or 20min from about 6am to 11pmish, I think it's about $2. | inphinity (7274) | ||
| 1193304 | 2011-04-10 05:16:00 | good apartments nothing above $250 per week? How is aucklands public transport system? I can't imagine any apartment $250 or lower . A room perhaps, boarding . Even grotty flats (units) are worse than that here . Transport? It sucks . It's not so bad if you only need to travel one zone or so, and at normal business hours but travelling from say West to South sucks, it's expensive, involves more than one transport vehicle, takes forever, eve taking into account the slowness of driving . |
