1193201 2011-04-09 18:08:00 I see I have two or three of these running in my Task Manager .

OK - it's only from Firefox, not used in Chrome - but I wonder if it is somehow hammering my audio output and causing my 128Kbps streams to drop-start-drop-start too?

Is it just a RAM sucker or is it much more insidious than that?

If I kill a few of these Plugin-Container . exe processes, will I suffer any real consequences?

Thanks for that .

I read the support docs and it says to enter about:config, find dom . ipc and toggle all four of the TRUE values to FALSE --- but I only find two and one's already FALSE .

There are four entries, but two have numerical values .

Whazup?

1193204 2011-04-10 01:13:00 well you did find 4 then

the 2 numerical (set at 45 probably) you change to zero (0)

1193205 2011-04-10 23:42:00 Today's a new day and after the resetting of those variables to ZERO and telling other things to toggle FALSE - the problem's still there, but not quite as much . :yuck:

OK - here's what's happening:::

IF I use Chrome I get Chrome crashes all the time when I try to load that other website with Google on another window and my streaming data source just repeats and repeats until I get tired of incessant looping of three notes .

IF I open that other website with Google (having Chrome turned off) it makes my stream totally stop and just buffer until eternity .

If I play MP3s from my own library in WMP - I get a few stops/starts when the page loads from that other site - but after a while it all settles down - but that's 'way after the page is reported as fully loaded - maybe 15-20 seconds .

All my streams come in via WMP10 - but it's been good up until now with the FF 4 . 0 .

On oddball thing I now see that I've never seen before:::
The little 'LOAD' whirligig that is on my tabs turns gray and goes backwards for a few moments when the stream is struggling to keep itself going - then the whirligig stops and runs the right way, turning green at that moment and then things settle down and actually work for a little while .

Next oddball thing is if I am scrolling through my Picasa 3 files, the sound stops and won't restart until I stop scrolling through the pixs . This can be streaming radio or MP3s that I have stored on my hdd - it doesn't matter - but viewing pictures kills my sound, although when it returns, it picks up where it last left off and runs well again .

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :crying

1193206 2011-04-11 01:10:00 What a difference in speed from changing those values gary67 (56)
1193207 2011-04-11 03:16:00 Can somebody tell me IN ENGLISH - just what changing those values and Falsifying the other two has to do with speed? SurferJoe46 (51)
1193208 2011-04-11 03:17:00 I think they allow you to use overdrive instead of gearing you down to 2nd gary67 (56)
