1193972 2011-04-13 11:13:00 Which is my point, there would be charges even though the act was not really piracy. Which is why it's crap. Agent_24 (57)
1193973 2011-04-13 11:15:00 Hmm correct me if I am wrong but having a quick look at the bill it looks like they will try to get you disconnected for any p2p traffic of any kind.
What happens if you use P2P for linux isos and freely released Creative Commons material?

Quite a number of laws are crap.

You do have the right to defend matters in Court however do you not?

1193976 2011-04-13 11:25:00 If I purchase a game, and the CD rots in 10 years time or gets broken, I expect to be able to download a new copy from bittorrent under 'fair use' (seriously, who can really say there's anything wrong with that?)

Completely agree with you, its common sense, something that is becoming more of a rarity.

Do people consider returning the original CD/DVD with documentation to the publisher and ask for a new copy? I did that once when one floppy out of few failed for MSWorks and I sent all to Microsoft and got replacement 1.44 Meg floppies for no charge.
