1193008 2011-04-12 02:27:00 Yeah - I don't hunt any more ---- not that I didn't, but I only hunted for things I actually ate.

Now if an elk walked into my freezer by accident --------------------

Love the walkin freezer, like the Heineken ad

1193009 2011-04-12 02:42:00 The right to bear arms is idiotic, it should be a privilege easily revoked at the slightest sign of antisocial behaviour . The type of people who think they should have the right to own a gun, especially a handgun, are very often the exact people who should NOT be allowed to own one .

The more people have guns the more people get shot .

It's not the legal citizen-types with guns you've gotta fear - it's the illegal and lawless drug dealers, rapists and gang-bangers that have weapons and they won't give theirs up - so who should give up their weapons under those circumstances??? Huh?

The US advertises itself as: "One nation, under God' trying to appeal to the Judeo-Christian ethic when they won't execute anyone who might have a reason for killing thirty people because someone called them a name or they are being racially profiled .

In the olde Judeo-Christian law and ethics, a murderer, rapist, thief or dangerous person was stoned - and as far as I know there haven't been any stonings in a long time here in the US .

So - does the 'Judeo-Christian ethic' work? Nope - it's smoke and mirrors, Madison Avenue spin .

When some alien (oops, a 'misplaced tourist') lights up an intersection with a MAC-10, full-automatic with a banana clip of 100 rounds just to kill the lowlife they want and they also take out a crowd of innocent people just standing at the same bus stop at the same time - that's not being nice .

Murderers and others with executable offenses are waiting on Death Row for their execution, but they die first of old age after being there for 60 years on 'pending civil rights abuse appeal' .

The only people who will give up their guns if the law was made today would be the legal citizens and the illegals and criminals would keep theirs . Kinda lop-sided, right?

Since I don't own any firearms any more - the possibility that I MIGHT be armed keeps a lot of trouble away from my home . The cops are a good 45 minutes away, even in the cities .

1193012 2011-04-12 04:53:00 Like I said - there are local and other 'Blue Laws' not to be confused with the Blue lights on police vehicles - that are enforced in a willy-nilly way at the state and local levels .

So what does a red light on a car with just a female officer in it denote? :D

1193014 2011-04-12 05:02:00 OK - police cars and other emergency vehicles with law enforcement personel in them usually run a red light bar - with ONE solid red light in it - more on that in a moment .

They MAY run yellow, white or even green, although I've never seen green .

OK - then the blue light means an armed officer, court-sworn to uphold the law is in the vehicle and very capable of using a gun on someone who endangers life, liberty or personal property .

The blue light is NOT in all jurisdictions however, and some states and local police departments don't use it yet .

To the solid red light thingy ---

As a motorist, you are not required - nor asked to stop for any police vehicle that is not displaying a solid red, non blinking light toward you . You ONLY stop for a solid red light, as the other oscillating or blinking lights mean that there is another reason for the vehicle running 'Code Three' or 'lights and sirens, high speed' .

However, in retrospect, I bet you wanted to ask about a female plying the oldest profession in a police car with a red light .

She is not allowed to use a real police car for that reason .

Hi SJ

Yeah, I was being mischievous, tho' haven't there been reports of "favours" (or in your dialect "favors") being offered in exactly those circumstances .

I thought I'd got you with the word "debarked" in your first post, but apparently yours was a ligit use .

By the way, did you get your signature from a Japanese nuclear power worker ;)
