2011-08-08 01:10:00 | The Nvidia chip issue would stop the laptop running period, so its not that....Sounds to me like a gaming workout is overheating the laptop, either CPU or GPU..... | SolMiester (139) | |
2011-08-08 01:12:00 | Does it support Cool n Quiet?? If it does, disable it Cool n Quiet functions at like idle speeds speedy, not when the CPU is under load. It drops voltage and clock multiple.

2011-08-08 05:20:00 | Wratterus and SolMiester already said it, it's possibly a heat issue. Modern CPU's and GPU's have thermal limiting built in which means when they hit the heat limit they reduce their clock speed to prevent failure. Try checking for dust and fluff in the air vents, prop the laptop up temporarily so air can circulate underneath while playing and see if it helps, if so maybe a laptop cooler or a good clean out is in order. Laptops really aren't the best choice for gaming. And yeah you really should have posted back in your original thread rather than start a new one.

2011-08-08 07:52:00 | I have pulled the laptop apart and cleaned it then put it back together and also I do prop it up while gaming. No difference. I only use this laptop because it's better than my crappy old desktop. :pf1mobmini:

2011-08-08 07:54:00 | Also the sreen goes different colours and stuff and I have to hold down the powed button to restart. It does this randomly, sometimes at startup when everything is cool. | Tplw9 (16484) | |
2011-08-08 07:58:00 | Speccy says the gpu is around 80 degrees after 20 mins of gaming. That's damn hot :pf1mobmini:
