1220940 2011-08-04 20:50:00 New DSLAM equipment is causing a problem with some modems getting sync

I have found that with Dynalink modems if ADSL2+ Line Mode is disabled in the modem config it picks up the DSL sync immediately. It is easier than getting their profile changed.

Ihave not had any problems with Dynalink wireless, I would suggest the problem is with the laptop not the modem.

If that was a suggestion for my comment -- Nope, theres nothing wrong with the laptop - It connects to my wireless perfectly, I also tried a different modem /Router at the persons place and it connects to that with no problems.

Its the Dynalink wireless thats the problem. Proven by the fact it will connect to other routers, the Ethernet connection (wired) is fine.

Edited: As I found out later - they have had various problems with it ever since they go it a year ago.

I guess you can get a bad one with any make of modem but the Dynalink wireless is generally quite reliable .

1220943 2011-08-04 23:16:00 Someone I know who is having problems with their internet connection was told today by a Telstra technician that they made some changes to the exchange and now D-Link and Dynalink products are no longer compatible.

Sounds strange, is this BS?
I'm using a Dynalink RTA1320 with no problems on TelstraClear.
