For one, it is against Human privacy rights for them or anybody to snoop in on our internet activity without permission, plus it's easily worked around by using VPN's, Proxies etc... I do not condone illegal file sharing and have seen what it has done to some PC's, but this law is soo stupid it's hillarious. |

You have used software you do not own as in paid for in the past have you not? Noted that you are not old enough to vote yet. Have you actually read the Bill? When you say "This law is stupid" what clauses do you disagree with and why? |

So this attacks everything from torrents to the likes of SpiderOak and DropBox?? What happens when I download something from a torrent legally? Will I be accused? Will they monitor everything? How much will the infrastructure to monitor everyone all the time cost us? What about IRC? How will you regulate file sharing over that? Rapidshare offers SSL download how will anyone prove anything? Guilty till proven innocent? |

| 1193958 | 2011-04-13 09:50:00 | Depends what server you go to on IRC. Not all servers have file sharing (most had bots), they've banned it. And will ban you if you do it. The server I'm on used to have files, but a few yrs ago now it got DDOS'ed to death. So did Efnet. I think it was. |

Millions of files / IRC bots. And millions of people downloading files all at the same time. Just because you can send files to 1 person (on IRC servers that dont have warez on them). Doesnt mean everyone still uses IRC for sending files. You can chat in IRC you know. Not all IRC servers have warez on them (now) either |
