1193234 2011-04-10 07:06:00 Aunty Herald does it again. According to one of the witnesses, she told me, firsthand, it happened on Monday 4th. Why does it take the Herald 10 days to decide it's news? Admittedly they did say "this week". But 10 days?

1193237 2011-04-10 12:41:00 Someone's been watching too many action movies. Serves the little thief right.

As for the ACC, shouldn't we have a limit on it where you can't receive ACC if you were involved in a criminal act at the time of the injury? You'd think National would jump right on that, think of all the people they could kick off!

They did the same thing recently with a couple of kids that had been attacked by dogs - took a couple of weeks to decide that it was newsworthy, then shoved it on the front page.

We hand out titanium legs to murders. Personally, I'd have gone for removing the guy's other leg to make him more... symmetrical.

This while people can't afford to feed their families... Ah well.

1193242 2011-04-12 04:29:00 I like the comment " "It was busy, very busy. He's lucky he didn't fall on anyone else," Shah said"

Also it seems that Ubergeek has got his wish from post #4 on this thread! (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) Talk about coincidence.
