1194072 2011-04-14 13:53:00 I watch tvondemand,
play games over the internet,Guildwars,LORO,Starcraft 2 etc.,
download PAID FOR games from STEAM and use steam etc.
I also download music and movies PAID FOR from Apple as well.
Surf the Internet,download patch's for games,OS,programs etc.
And listen to LastFM on the internet as well well surfing the internet.

Am I going to be accused of being a pirate?
And how do I protect myself from being accused?
Or am now going to have to protect myself as if I was a pirate when I AM NOT?

1194073 2011-04-14 19:52:00 Im constantly uploading/downloading music and video files, thats how we do a lot of recording and writing, starting to do some music videos etc
If I have to prove every single file over and over that would be harassment?
I don't think it will be enforced anyway, just another entry for fail.org

Why would you be accused.
A copyright holder has to make a complaint for any action to be taken.

1194077 2011-04-14 21:06:00 The thing that concerns me more is that fact they have made downloading torrents illegal without actually know what they are banning, and without giving us a legal alternative. I buy music online and I would buy/rent movies too if I could but I refuse to use iTunes for my own reasons. gary67 (56)
1194078 2011-04-14 21:21:00 Technically speaking if you were to download a torrent of something that *is* legit, then you have nothing to worry about because the copyright holder, or some legal entity acting on their behalf, isn't going to come after you.

If you're downloading something illegal, then you should be afraid ;)

I just did a search for torrent in the legislation (www.legislation.govt.nz File+Sharing%29+Amendment+Bill_resel&p=1#DLM2764318) and torrent is not mentioned ?
